I finally got to teach him how to felt!
I have been wanting to teach my friend, Josh, how to felt since we opened up shop two years ago! Well, Memorial Day weekend he agreed to hang out with me at the Handmade Parade, we set up to demo wet felting and I put him to work! By the third iPod cover he had it down and was ready to make more. I love it!
Mom and Marguerite felted this the day before the Parade and then mom and I cut out 100 of those circles and sew'd each one down with a button onto our button cards. We gave those little gems out in the "Swag Bags" that were handed out at the Parade.
This was our booth.
These are all of the hand-felted gifts items by Cornelia that we carry in the shop.

Such a Lovely Combination!
We made these custom items for Val. We were a slow in getting them done and I felt terrible about it, but they turned out so nice I feel SO much better about the whole thing. I made the purse and mom made the blanket. Don't they look lovely together?

Claire has been working on getting all of our trims and laces on spools that she has been making with our old wooden spools, chip board and pretty papers. Very exciting!

Garden
Mom and I decided that since we spend more time here at the shop than at home that it would probably be easier to take care of our tomato plants if they were here at the shop with us. So, I'd like to introduce you to our new garden. Not exactly the prettiest garden, but it's gonna work just fine and I'm sure we'll come up with some way to pretty it up a bit! I brought some basil plants today and I have parsley and cilantro starting from seed. Very exciting stuff!

The Roseville Antique Market
We had so much at this market! Sandy & Erika put on a fantastic event with such a wonderful group of vendors! I read on their blog that they will be choosing a date for the next market soon! The market was SO tempting I think mom and I may be attendees rather than vendors at the next market. I need to decorate my house!
We displayed all of mom's new felted pieces! Aren't they lovely?
