Look at this gorgeous thing that one of our customers, Chris, brought in to torture us with the other day!
I want to live in a time when we want to put that much beautiful work into a laundry bag! Does anyone know - is there a specific name for the technique that she used in the flowers?
The shop has been slow this week - I think everyone is out in their gardens! We miss our busy days, but it has given us time to SEW! Mom has finished two ADORABLE pieces - an easter dress, size 3 and springy, girlie overalls, size 1 - I'll share pictures soon! And she just started today making clutch purses with canvas and vintage quilt pieces - so cute!
I have actually been working on a quilt made with Moda's new Simplicity line by Three Sisters. Very sweet colors with baby green fine wale corduroy for the backing. I very pleased with it but I'm ready for it to be done.
Happy Spring Everyone! (at least for the moment)

Wow, that really is the prettiest laundry bag every! I might have to try to class mine up a bit.
I think the flowers are made using french knots a bunch of 'em.
I agree with you em! I want to live in a decade where even my laundry bag is pretty and feminine!
Wondered over from Flickr. I wish I lived near ya'll, I sure could use some sewing lessons!
